An Introduction
The Classical Contrarians have often found ourselves out of place, in a sense that the West has pushed aside notions of rationality and debate for the superfluous nature of modernity. Our name implies this feeling of isolation. We are classical in our thought and, as one will discover, contrary to everything the modern world has become. The Classical Contrarians seek to stand against relativism and those that would undermine the philosophical values that the West has erected over 2,000 years. We are not here to feed the left or the right; we are here to right the course of philosophical, political, and theological thought.
We will, one hopes, defend all ideas that lead towards the common good, justice, and the proper formation of intellectual curiosity. We will pursue truth through the careful examination of history, theology, philosophy, political, and social discourse. While this may seem hopeless, we hope to serve as a starting point to rebuild culture and the dogged pursuit of all that is beautiful and true.
Very little can be offered here, save for the very best that we have. One will find no harsh browbeating, scolding, or angry rhetoric. Whether our analysis comes through our regular podcasts, written articles, or even videos, we sincerely hope that you, the reader, will find it helpful and insightful.
